Crazy Taxi(s)
1:58 AM Nowadays taxi services are getting from bad to worse!! A few days ago, Brian, Jo and mi were rushing for a presentation. We boarded a cab.. and we told the cabby our destination... the uncle started to mumble to himself.. we are pressed for time and so we ask if he know the way. and his reply was.. "......., which way you wanna go? CTE, PIE or KPE?" jo went to the place b4 and so she tried to recalled the route that she took the last time when she went there.. Jo: uncle, i think you can go by CTE and then head towards yishun.. Cabbie: KPE cannot, cannot reach lah.. Jo: no, take CTE... Cabbie: ... KPE cannot reach leh Jo, Brian and mi, together: CTE!! I almost blow my top!! God, he is deaf or wat?! And then along the way, we start to get worried... He is 3beat slower, ask him to turn, he go straight, ask he to keep left, he take his own sweet time. He do wat he think he want, and ignore our instructions. Asked him again if he really know the way.. He either replied saying.. "Hmm, half half lor, reach there then see lor." or "you know the way?" Fark!! now, who is asking who??!! Brian even tot of getting down the cab and hailing another one. I think he will punch the cabby if he is not so much of a nice person. We almost faint!! Jo called Ken to ask for instructions, while i was on the phone with Tat Yi as he check the Street Directory. Meanwhile, Brian was checking on the streets. Instructions flying everywhere in the cab... Cu the long story short... when we are about to reach our destination... the cabby said, "see, just now if we take tat route, that road, can liao lor.. That way also faster.. Haiz" [-_-] @#%%$&^&*^& +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Today, while we were on a cab to Suntec fr a setup.. The cabby slow down to almost a stop while it was still like 5m away.... anf then after we board the ca.. he starts to drive off even before Jean got to close the door. And when we reach suntec, Jo and Brian were settling the bill while mi and Jean start to unload the stuff from the boot. After Jo and Brian get off the cab, we were almost done with the unloading... but then, the cab jus attempt to drive off!! Come on, are you really in such a rush? Do you have the slightest idea that we are still unloading or the car boot door is not closed? Do you even have the most basic knowledge on safety? How did you even get your taxi driving licence?
