My Wisdom Toosie - Part 2
4:50 PM I m back from my visit to the dentist. Well, okie lah..... It wasn't as bad as i have imagined..... Guess i scared myself silly yesterday after hearing first-hand experience, courtesy of Ms Theresa. Her experience was bad maybe due to the fact that her wisdom tooth was decayed and when extracted, there was pus too!! Eeeeks! *sick* Before i went to the dentist, i was advised by the nurse to have my meal before going for the extraction. Lying on the dentist chair, the dentist was checking on my wisdom tooth as i told him that i think my wisedom tooth is decayed. And then he saw my decayed wisdom tooth, told mi that he need to extract it out. I tried to act composed......... but i asked a stupid Q. I asked if there is any ways to save it... The dentist was surprised but he told mi that wisdom tooth is actually quite useless b/c we dun even use them for chewing..... Most of the times, they will get decay due to lack of well-care taken. So he started by injecting anesthesia into my gum.......and Honestly speaking, i dun feel anything at all. It causes very much less pain than having ulcers. After which, he started using his tools to extract my tooth. And seriously, if possible, dun look at wat he is using to help him extract the tooth, b/c the tools looked pretty scary...... one of it look like a screwdriver... I did not feel any pain, but i was still scary. I could fee thathe is trying to pull the tooth off my gum, slowly...... feeling the tooth getting ripped off the gum - painlessly. And Wala!! I saw the dentist taking it out of my mouth. It is OUT!!! EXTRACTED!! So i was asking the dentist on whether i will feel pain after the numbness go away and whether i will have a pig face....... according to him, it depends on individuals, on their threshold of pain, but on the swelling part, the nurse said that it will only swell if you extract it by surgery.... I would have to go back again for the other side of my wisdom tooth. I was afraid that it will be very painful and swell so i did not ask him to extract it at the same time...... Nothing to worry at all!! But for those chili die-hard fans, you would have to aviod hot stuff for some time after the extraction. hahaha!! 0♥ in the cookie jar |
