117th IOC SESSION
8:59 AM  The city that will host the Olympic Games in 2012 goes to ...LONDON!! I was present @ Raffles City when the news was announced. The lobby of Raffles City was packed with people, people from different countries, cheering for their homeland. Some of the people even bought their country flag along!! Coffee Club Express and Haagen Daz were packed with viewers, and also the corridors of shops. Basically, Raffles City was packed! packed! packed!! I have not seen the lobby so packed with people and filled with excitment before. Everyone was cheeeeeering, "Madrid...Madrid", "Paris... Paris", "London...London". All were waiting impatiently for 7.30pm to arrive where the results of the 2012 Olympic venue would be announced. I felt the excitment, felt the tension of the atmosphere when the result was about to be announced, and the happiness that the English have when they know that their homeland had won the bid.. I felt the success of the event. And that's the satsifaction that an event organiser could ever wish for. That's one of the reason, and the MAIN reason why i was so attracted to this job.
